The trip on the historical train of Sóller of 1912 is one of the most beautiful excursions; mainly it's possible to combine it with the mini-cruise to the Torrent of Pareis.

The train leaves the centric seat “Plaza de España” in Palma. Thee train station is situated in the street Eusebi. Alternatively its possible to hire a car and to raise to the stop of Bunyola, where the really interesting section by the mountain range begins.  

The route by the Serra de Alfabia you pass by less than 13 tunnels and spectacular landscape, before you get to the "valley of the oranges", the valley of Sóller, where hundreds of fruit trees grow. They produce excellent jams and natural ice creams. The train finishes its route right in the center just a few passages of the weekly market (Saturday) and the commercial center.

From the town, it is possible to get into in the old street car, which  goes to the port a few kilometers of distance. Once the Puerto de Sóller (Port de Sóller) was trade with France. Nowadays it is a starting point for the mini-cruise to the Torrent de Pareis, the perfect complement to the route to the mountains and an unforgettable whole day excursion.

In addition, thanks to modernization works, it has been changed to a fashionable holiday place. The port is picturesque and almost round (to raise the light, access before arriving the port), there are two beaches, one attractive commercial zone which is turned into a pedestrian zone, and there you get attractive hike way routes for the Tramuntana.
