In the great rugged landscape of the Sierra de Tramuntana, you can practice various walking activities (nordic walking for example) and climbing (the cave of Sa Fosca) due to very steep area. It is recommended for excursions like climbing the Puig Galatzó or La Trapa.
That area is where the highest mountains, such is the Puig Major (1447 meters) are.
In the Sierra de Tramuntana you can find canyons, like the Torrent de Pareis, cliffs ... but it is an area with only a few coves, but is worth to highlight the Llucalcari creek, typical for their puddles of mud that are can be used for a nicer and softer skin.
One of the excursions we recommend is the one that goes from Sa Calobra to Port of Soller.
The Sierra de Tramuntana is an area with charming mountain villages, like Valldemossa, Soller, Deia, Esporlas. It is quite a challenge for unexperienced drivers to get to the villages due to the curvy roads and serpentines.
Due to its landscape, is a place to appreciate nature, with many animals, as the "midwife toad, an amphibian protected due to its small population.
