Andratx town located in the mountains north of Majorca and 28 km from Palma, have a mountainous landscape with a coasts , coves and cliffs, in this town is the port Sant Elm (San Telmo). One of their paradises are the coves Aritja and Brava.

To visit the old center Pantaleu there is located windmills Sa Planet and the tower So na Galana; there is Es Pou Amunt where you can appreciate the history of conquest and many stone houses. Another tourist attraction is the church Santa Maria located in the upper town, its eighteenth-century neogothic style in their interior retains its Baroque altarpieces dedicated to the Rosary´s Virgin, the Virgin Mary and San Sebastian. It also has paintings representing the landing of Turkish on 2nd, August 1578 in Andratx. 

Andratx cuisine is known for its ice cream almond, gató (fine almond paste), rice with shellfish, fresh fish casserole. There is also a wine cellar "Santa Catarina" created in 1985, marketing the wines of the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, it is open to the public. 

The traditional events of Andratx are: the local holidays their patron saint is Peter and agricultural fairs. You can visit their traditional market, which is carried out on Wednesday, here you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, crafts, traditional products of Majorca, flowers, clothes etc.

We recommend  the nature reserve "La Trapa", received this name because there were Trappist monks in the year 1810, they built a monastery with a traditional architecture, there are still remains of the chapel and the windmill. There is a viewpoint in this place with spectacular views over the isle of Sa Dragonera.
