  • Come2Mallorca.com is an innovative tourism portal, that actually is five websites in one: travel guide, event guide, online bookings, blog and community. Our four main aims are:

     

    - Accompany the tourists before, during and after their stay in Mallorca

    - Promote sustainable tourism and propose innovative ideas to revive mid and low season

    - Encourage interchange of ideas and collaboration between public and private enterprises

    - Increase loyalty level of tourists by integrating them in the island's touristic development

     

    In the year 2007, the website was awarded the prize for the best idea to revive mid and low season by "Balearsinnova".

    Development

    Beginning of 2006, come2mallorca.com was launched as a multilingual travel website, specializing in Mallorca. Specially for the more experienced traveller, the website offered more than 100 accommodations island-wide, a mini travel-guide, event guide and loyalty programme Club C2M.

    In spring 2007, the project "Virtual Mallorca Community" was presented at the annual contest of "Balearsinnova". A very ambitious project that reflects current tourism trends, based on web 2.0 technology. Thanks to the focus on sustainable tourism and reviving low and mid season in Mallorca, it was chosen as the winner of its category. 

    In FITUR 2008, the prototype of the new come2mallorca.com was presented, an innovative tourism portal based on web 2.0 technology. While during the first phase design, usability and functionality were given priority, the second phase (launch foreseen for spring 2008) focuses on affiliation/collaboration as well as sensibly improving the Community tools.
